U/M when the Philatelic Society of NZ later Royal Philatelic Society of NZ started they had approval books sent out to members adopting an Americian system of personal control stamps to be used when a stamp was taken from the approval book where the sold stamp was taken from. Each number represented a specific person , In this case the surname was Mowat for number 78,I have afew of theses sheets unused , unused and complete and unhinged would be quite scarce, normal start
